SpielbergPod - The Steven Spielberg Film Podcast

The SpielbergPod is a show where me and some friends rewatch the films of Steven Spielberg going through them one at a time . It's a mix of film discussion, humour and just good ol' fashioned conversation among friends. Features of the show include recastings of the films with current day actors, companion pieces to the film and top five lists.

In this bonus episode me and my friend Jevon Downer (@itsjevjevjev) discuss the Ivan Reitman film 'Ghostbusters'. Also, in our podcast extra, we discuss Jev's top five films of all-time.

Along the way we wonder why Winston is in this film, we debate whether Stay Puft was a real American brand of marshmallow, we quote the film Anti-Trust, we talk about my love of Monster Munch and the origin behind 'crossing the streams'. We also compare Ray and Venkman to Jez and Mark in Peep Show and talk Congo, Drag Me to Hell, Ernest Scared Stupid and adverts from the 80's (remember Mr Soft?).

In this episode me and my friend Jevon Downer (@itsjevjevjev) discuss the John Landis/ Steven Spielberg/ Joe Dante/ George Miller film 'Twilight Zone The Movie' and, in our podcast extra, we talk about our top five TV shows of all time.

Along the way Jev compares the 'Kick the Can' section to Requiem to a Dream, we agree the 'Nightmare at 20,000 Feet' section would've made a great play and we also discuss the career of John Landis as well as Ex Machina, Karl Pilkington, Cocoon, anthology films, Wayne's World, Matinee, Mad Max Fury Road and talk extensively about The Simpsons, The Wire and The Sopranos (spoilers removed).
